People who dig babies say Yes To Baby Carrots

Hello, Carrot Lovers,

Thanks for joining me on the Yes To blog. I am RookieMom Whitney and I blog regularly at RookieMoms.com about activities for new moms to enjoy with (or without!) their babies. I am also the co-author of The Rookie Mom's Handbook (Quirk Books, 2008).

Since your favorite natural beauty brand Yes To has declared June to be *Baby Month*, it's fitting that founder Ido Leffler has invited me, a person who spends a lot of time thinking about babies, to join his team: I'll be posting right here from time to time, as well as tweeting and sharing news on Facebook for Yes To.

Check it out! You'll find this clipping in the July issue of Parents Magazine. It shows off the Yes To Baby Carrots Shampoo and Body Wash, along with other paraben- and phthalate-free skin care products for the diaper-wearing crowd. As explained by the helpful folks at Healthy Child Healthy World, a resource for learning how to keep your family safer, here's the deal with phtalates and parabens:
Because they're still growing, children are at the greatest risk of developing diseases and illnesses caused by exposure to toxins such as phthalates, lead, and pesticides. This special vulnerability means that it is increasingly important to protect them from hazardous substances in consumer products. Some baby care products are loaded with unnecessary and toxic chemicals, like parabens, phthalates, fragrance and preservatives.
So not just but because they are healthier, but also because the packaging is cool (superficial, I know), I'm excited to be helping to spread the word about Yes To. I look forward to sharing more with you over the coming months.

P.S. Please visit again soon -- and if you like us, then LIKE US on Facebook or Twitter. That way, you'll be alerted when we have new posts.
